Meet our Staff

Scott & Peggy White

Scott and Peggy have finally made it to Bend after a lifelong dream of living and raising a family here. After over a decade of owning and operating Tulsa Cycle Supply in Tulsa, OK they were ready to move "back to nature" you could say. Scott grew up in Steamboat Spring CO and knew he had to get to the mountains, and Peggy has had the longing for crisp clean air for way to long.  They have three great kids, Bayley, William and Payton.  "We feel a strong sense of community in Bend, and love to get out and meet our friends in town or on the trails."  Both  Scott and Peggy enjoy outdoor living and exercising.  Scott has finished several Ironman races in Florida, Coeur d'alene, and Arizona. Ultramarathons have been his focus now. Peggy loves to run and ride her bike, and has recently put a marathon under her belt.

Amanda Bird: Fit Specialist

Originally from Michigan, Amanda moved to Bend after spending the last four years in Aspen, Colorado. During that time she enjoyed exploring the many trails on Independence Pass, skiing all four AspenSnowmass mountains and volunteering at numerous festivals. Amanda embraces an active lifestyle and enjoys everything from hiking and running, to downhill skiing and snowshoeing, to scuba diving and soccer. In addition, Amanda loves to meet new people and she is excited to get involved in our community and the adventures surrounding Bend. Something that she'll be quick to remind us is, "you can't underestimate the importance of happy feet".

Madison Salyer: Training Director/ Fit Specialist

Madison has recently made a cross-country move, from Johnson City, Tennessee, with her husband and pup to Bend, Oregon. She is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a BA in Human Services. In Tennessee she also worked at Fleet Feet Kingsport as the Training Director and is an ACE certified personal trainer. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed training for numerous half marathons and The Marine Corps Marathon, along with hiking and exploring the Appalachian Mountains. Madison is passionate about helping others reach their personal and fitness goals, and believes in the importance of goal setting. She is excited to see what all Bend has to offer!

Sarah Shoop: Fit Specialist

Hi!  My name is Sarah (a.k.a. “SHOOP”), and I’d like to share little about myself with you.

I was born and raised in Bend, and aside from traveling and attending college, I’ve pretty much have been in Bend for my entire life.  My love of running and the outdoors has certainly been a reason to stay (and did I mention the sunshine?  The seasons?)!  I recently finished my eleventh marathon, and completed my first duathlon this past July; I’m always looking forward to my next adventure.

I’m excited to join the Fleet Feet team, and I hope to inspire and help others who are looking to begin (or maintaining) an active life style.
