It's November, and you know what that means!  It's time to lace up your boots, and running shoes Thanksgiving morning for a run or walk before you tackle that Big Feast!  Don't miss out on running those paths around the Old Mill District so you can have that extra helping and not feel guilty.  Chase the turkey through the course while you hunt for items redeemable for fun prizes from local businesses!  

 

This is a timed event and awards will go to the top overall male and female finishers in the 5K & 10K categories.   Costumes are encouraged!

Please remember that we are also offering pre-sales of Thanksgiving Day pies from the La Pine Community Kitchen for your dining pleasure with family or friends.  Nine inch pies made by the ladies of the La Pine CK are selling pies in three flavors:  strawberry rhubarb, blueberry and apple for only $12/each.

Please help us feed Central Oregon families by bringing 4-5 non-perishable food for the La Pine Community Food Pantry.  Your generous contributions will be gratefully accepted at our packet pickup on Tuesday11/22 or Wednesday 11/23 at Fleet Feet Sports - 1320 NW Galveston, Bend OR, or at the Start Line near the Les Schwab Amphitheater staging area on day of race. 

When: Turkey Day, 9 a.m.

You know that overstuffed feeling you get every year? - this year you can feel good about it by working off a little energy on this scenic, riverside course before the big meal.

Race start and finish is on Shevlin Hixon Drive near the Les Schwab Amphitheater stage. The 5K (3.1 mile) loop course will take place on flat, paved pathways and trails through the Old Mill District and along the beautiful Deschutes River. The 10K course will complete the loop twice. New to this year’s event is a Trotters Walk. This will be on the 1.6 mile loop around the Old Mill District pathways for those wishing to have a more leisurely walk.

Start runners 10 & 5K – 9:00 AM

Start walkers 10K & 5K – 9:05 AM

Start Trotters Walk – 9:10 AM (walk is approximately a 1.6 miles)

The 10K & 5K are chipped timed events and awards will go to the top overall male and female finishers. Participants are asked to stay on the sidewalk or road sides of the course as the road will be open to traffic on race day. This is an all-weather event.
